Cougar Ended Badly
In mid-May Debby spied a cougar slinking through the woods behind our house. Six weeks later, a male cougar was killed on the 405 freeway near Bellevue. It had been seen a week and a half before in Woodinville, halfway between our house and Bellevue. It seems at least possible that it is the same animal Debby spotted, since mountain lions are a rarity in the greater urban areas.
