Forest Park Farm and Water Spray Fun

Debby planned a fun day trip for us with the grand-twins. She packed some picnic snacks and we drove to the animal farm at Forest Park in Everett.

The kids made the acquaintance of goats, a calf, some sheep, a pony, and some rabbits. They also got to see chickens and ducks, and two small pigs doing what pigs do (Wilbur must have done such things off stage).

After lunch on the lawn in the main park, we went to the water spray park in the same vicinity. As the sun peeked around the clouds, the twins spent about 45 minutes getting drenched. Sydney showed no reluctance to mix it up with the water and to talk to the other kids. Jordan was more cautious with the water, but once he warmed up to the idea, he and Sydney chased each other around for the duration. Sydney would come for frequent visits to the grandparent observation bench where she would shake her head to get us wet. Grandpa would hide behind the bench when she came over. It was barely 60 degrees and the water was cold, but all the running kept them ok until we dried them, wrapped them in a big blanket, and headed for the car.

At home, they watched a movie while their clothes dried.

A good time was had by all.
