Our cottage may have sold. Our escrow has passed the bug and defect inspection stages and we await negotiation of the list of desired corrective actions. Our current plan is to motor north, two cars in tandem, to Seattle during the first week of October. Debby is not keen on driving alone, so we are thinking about finding company for her. Our giant pile of stuff (as of now, the Lotus has made it onto the truck) will perhaps share the highway with us. We are looking into two options: traditional mover and pod mover. The latter seems about half the price of the former, but then there's the issue of load/unload.
We plan to store our stuff pile while renting a cheapo month-to-month place, for as long as it takes to find our budget dream house. Thank you Dori and Richard for offering your spare room. D and W's glorious fall adventure is taking shape.
Our realtor in Seattle is a great find and he and Dori are our feet on the ground in the Seattle real estate market until we get up there.
